Beverly Quist

Beverly QuistBoard President

     Beverly Quist is an active member of our community. As a professor of criminal justice at Mohawk Valley Community College, she has developed courses in restorative justice and mediation. In addition to her service on The Peacemaker Program Board of Directors, she has served on the Boards of the YWCA of the Mohawk Valley, GroWest, the League of Women Voters of Utica/Rome, the Criminal Justice Educators Association of New York State, the New York State Coalition Against Sexual Assault, and the Justice Studies Association. She is a recognized leader in her field with awards that include the State University of New York Chancellor’s Award for Excellence in Teaching and the Mohawk Valley Community College “Make a Difference Award”.

 

Anthony Scibelli

Anthony ScibelliBoard Vice-President

     Anthony Scibelli is the Vice President of Human Resources & Support Services for Faxton-St. Luke's Healthcare. Anthony oversees facilities management and is responsible for all aspects of human resources, including various support departments such as housekeeping, food services, laundry, bio-medical engineering and telecommunications.

     Anthony has been with FSLHC since November 2004 and has 15 years of human resources experience. Prior to joining FLSHC, Anthony held the position of Director, Human Resources with two New York based supermarket chains, both of which were among the top 50 largest food retail companies in the United States.

     Anthony holds his PHR certification from the Society of Human Resources and is a graduate of Lesley College in Cambridge, MA with a Masters Degree in Training & Development.

     Anthony resides in Clinton and in his spare time, he enjoys boating and running.

 

Susan Warwick

Susan WarwickBoard Secretary

     Sue is a graduate of Utica College where she received her B.S. in Social Work. Shortly thereafter, she began working at what was then St. Luke’s Memorial Hospital as the Assistant Director of Volunteers. Currently, Sue is the Director of Volunteer Services at Faxton-St. Luke’s Healthcare where she oversees the management of over 200 volunteers, an Assistant Director of Volunteer Services and Human Resources, a Volunteer Services Coordinator and 2 Greeters. She chairs the Reward and Recognition committee at the hospital whose activities recently received national recognition.

     Sue’s involvement with the Peacemaker Program began when several of her friends began designing tables for Come to the Table. Sue has been designing tables herself for the past 3 years and in 2008, she joined the Come to The Table committee to chair the Preview Gala. In 2009 and 2010, Sue has served as the chairperson of the event.

     In the past, Sue served for several years on the board of the YWCA where she helped to coordinate events like Salute for Outstanding Women. Currently she is a member of the New York State Director’s of Volunteer Services (NYSADVS) where she has held several offices at the state and local board level.

 

Michael A. Wilk, CPA

Michael A. Wilk, CPABoard Treasurer

     Michael is a graduate of the State University of New York Institute of Technology, with a B.S. in accounting. He has been in public accounting since 1989 and is currently employed with Daniel J. Robertello, CPA, PC. He has a wide range of experience in the public accounting field including small business consulting and accounting, compilations and reviews of a variety of businesses, non profit auditing, corporate and individual income taxes, as well as sales tax and payroll taxes with an expertise in the field of small businesses.

     Michael also is on the accounting advisory committee at Herkimer County Community College as well as a member of the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants.

     Michael was born and raised in Frankfort, NY and currently resides in Whitesboro, NY with his wife Colette, his daughter Erika and his son Matthew.

 

Tracy Soules

Tracy Soules     Tracy is a long time friend of Peacemaker having been involved in the organization for more than 8 years. She has served on the board of directors, various committees of the organization, is a trained mediator for Peacemaker and reigning Glow Golf Chair. She lives in Mohawk with husband Mitch and has 4 children to boast about- James- a Utica Police Officer, Tara -a banker, Mitchell- a college student, and Ryan- a 7 yr old bundle of energy! She has one addiction and that is her grandson Tyler who “rocks her world”. Tracy has been employed by the Unified Court System for 30 years. She describes herself as a community activist and strives to encourage people to get involved make a difference in their own unique way.

 

George Murad, Esq.

George Murad, Esq.     George Murad has been practicing law for 30 years (since 1978)! He co-runs Murad & Murad, a general practice firm with emphasis on Matrimonial and Family Court Law. He has been involved with The Peacemaker Program, Inc. since its inception. George is a member of the NY State Bar Association, Oneida County Bar Association, NYS Family Law Section, NYS Matrimonial Law Section, Oneida County Bar Association Family and Matrimonial Law Committee and a founding member and attorney participant in the Oneida County Family Treatment Court.

He graduated from Notre Dame High School in Utica, NY; LeMoyne College in Syracuse, NY; and Howard University Law School in Washington, D.C.

In addition to his involvement in the Peacemaker Program, George is a member of the Knights of Columbus. He is proudly married to Luann Horton-Murad and has one son, William.

 

John Russo

John Russo     John Russo has dedicated his personal and professional life to helping others achieve positive outcomes. Retiring from his position as Executive Director of The Community Food Bank, he is a former Utica City Firefighter.

     He remains involved by volunteering at Faxton St. Luke’s Healthcare as an advocate in the fight against cancer, and John is a member of the Board of Directors of the Denti Foundation. He attended Mohawk Valley Community College and Empire State College. In addition to being a member of The Peacemaker Program Board of Directors, he is also a volunteer child advocate and a member of the CASA Advisory Board.

 

Fran Liuzzi

Fran Liuzzi     Francis Liuzzi is the owner of Advanced Collection And Recovery, LLC of Washington Mills, New York. He previously worked in the banking industry for 20 years, most recently as Assistant Vice President with Partners Trust Bank. Fran has served on the Peacemaker board for several years including the position of Treasurer. He was also a previous Chair of the Come to the Table Fundraising event.

     In addition to The Peacemaker Program, he is involved in various community and charitable organizations including The Genesis Group, Sons of the American Legion, and the American Heart Association. He is a recognized leader in his field with awards that include the Savings Bank of Utica President's Award.

 

Mollie Pulver

Mollie Pulver Mollie Pulver resides in Little Falls, NY and has been a Peacemaker volunteer in both the CASA and CCAP programs since 1998.  She is currently the Chair of the CASA Advisory Board and is a member of Peacemaker’s Sustainability Committee.  Pulver was recognized as Child Advocate of the Year in 2007. Ms. Pulver is a Vice President/Relationship Manger for NBT Bank working out of their operations center in Canajoharie she has been with NBT since 2001.

In addition to her work with Peacemaker she currently also serves on the Board of Herkimer County Cooperative Extension and Cornell’s Alumni Association. Mollie is also a member of the Dutchess County Agricultural Society.

 

Jo Alexander

Jo Alexander Jo Alexander was the former department head of the Psychology, Human Services, and Education Department at Mohawk Valley Community College. Additionally, she was responsible for development of the Chemical Dependency and Education Programs. She also served as chair of the College Senate for many years and on many College committees. After her retirement, she continues to do some part-time teaching at MVCC.

Community activities have included Peacemaker’s Surrogate Decision Making Committee, BOCES Child Care Consulting Committee, Board of Visitors of Mohawk Valley Psychiatric Center, Past President of the New York State Association of Boards of Visitors, and Uarda Temple #24, Daughters of the Nile to name a few.

Awards in her field have included the Mohawk Valley Community College Excellence in Teaching Award, the State University of New York Chancellor’s Excellence in Teaching Award and the National Institute for Staff and Organizational Development Excellence Award. After her retirement, she was awarded the status of Professor Emerita.

Jo is a graduate of SUNY Buffalo and Syracuse University.
