Meet the Designers

Sue Warwick continues to be involved with the Peacemaker Program year after year because she believes in our mission. “I continue to be involved in the Come to the Table event because it is a unique event in our community and I love designing tables!” Sue is the chairperson of Come To The Table and on the Board of Directors of The Peacemaker Program.

She got involved with this event because so many of her friends were involved. They walk everyday and discuss their ideas for the tables they are working on, where they are shopping and what great finds they discover!

Sue is a true veteran of Come To The Table. Not only has she done multiple tables, but she has won several judges awards over the years; Most Artistic two times and Most Whimsical. Having done 6 tables in the past and 2 more this year, she has the skinny on where to shop and how to come up with good themes! I come up with my ideas in a number of ways. I love to shop and always have my eyes open for a great set of dishes or something else that inspires me. I did New York, New York (She won Most Artistic in 2011) because I love the city and both of my daughters live there. Some of the places she haunts for deals are TJ Maxx, Marshalls, The Christmas Tree Shop, and Pier One. She is always looking for a good price.

Sue, a Mohawk Valley native, would tell any would-be table designer “That it’s not as hard as it looks. You just need to get inspired. I have helped many people get their feet wet and once they get going, they love it! It is great if you can find someone to help and/or sponsor your table. I am fortunate to have Tony Scibelli as my sponsor. I do the designing and he funds everything.”

Cindy Roth has designed 15 or more tables for Come To The Table! That is impressive creativity and dedication! She has won many Judges awards; 2005 Judges Choice "Wok this Way"; 2006 Judges Choice "Cha Cha Cha"; 2009 Most Elegant "Golden Holiday"; 2010 Most Artistic "Birds of a Feather Dine Together (co-designer with Susan Gustafson and Susan Warwick);  2011 Best Holiday Theme  "Dashing Through the Snow" (co-designer with Lisa Longeretta). Wow! That is quite a list of design accomplishments.

Cindy first found out about the event from Christine Kiesel who was a board member of The Peacemaker Program. Her familiarity with mediation has increased through her job at the Court House.

Cindy stays committed to Come To The Table because, “Year after year, it is a rewarding challenge that allows me to pursue the secret designer inside while supporting an organization and cause I strongly believe in.”

Living in the Mohawk Valley for 24 years, Cindy, likes to spend time with her family and friends and calls her design style - eclectic.  She keeps her eyes open all year for inspiration and shops anywhere she can. Inspiration can come from something as small as a colorful martini glasses to something as large a telephone booth.

The Peacemaker Program, Inc. provides a continuum of services including skill development, dispute resolution programs and child advocacy services through the use of carefully trained volunteers. Our mission is to offer inclusive, innovative approaches to resolve conflict and achieve positive outcomes for children, families and the community.
